Saudi Arabian Nutters

Illegal in Saudi Arabia!
I read this interesting article on the web about the issue of being able to photograph things in Saudi Arabia. It illustrates how disturbingly deep the senseless religious edicts of Wahabbi Islam go.

Here is a sample from the article:
Recently, a newspaper photographer was detained by the mutawwa (religious police) for photographing a row of trees uprooted during a sand storm in Riyadh. The reason given for his detention was that trees are God’s creation and that by photographing fallen trees, the photographer was making fun of God’s creation.
« if one wants to draw a falcon, he draws only the body without the head. Alternatively, he could draw a line between the body and the neck. Drawing a complete bird is not permissible in Islam. »
Ninth grade children are being taught that it is OK to assult photographers in order to defend Islam. Also, in Saudia Arabia, a child (or anyone else for that matter) is not allowed to draw an animal! So you will never see a child's drawings of the family on the kitchen fridge in KSA. The little kids's drawing show here is not allowed in KSA.

Sad & pathetic... isn't it?
